Ephesians 2

And you were dead in those trespasses and in your sins.
2. In that formerly you walked with that one cast down from the ages to this world ; in accordance with the ruler of the government of the lower hemisphere , the spirit that is now at work in the children of the disobedient one .
3. With whom also we all rebelled in times past in the lusts of our flesh , indulging the desires of the flesh and of the imaginations , and were by nature existing as children of violence , as indeed were the rest of them.
4. This notwithstanding, God is rich in compassion in the greatness of his love with which he loved us.
5. And being that we were dead in those trespasses, [he] made us alive again together with Christ, for by grace you are saved.
6. And raised us together, and made us sit together in the heavens with Christ Jesus.
7. So that he can display for his own glory in the ages that is to come, the transcendent riches of his grace by his kindness to us through Christ Jesus.
8. For by this grace, you are saved through his faith, and therefore not of yourselves. God is the giver of it .
9. [It is] not of effort, so that no one should glory .
10. For he made us, created [us] in Christ Jesus for acts of goodness prepared in advance by God, so that by them we should walk .
11. Therefore , be ever mindful that you were in times past of those nations in the flesh that are said to be uncircumcised by those who are said to be circumcised in the flesh by hands.
12. That you were at that time those without Christ, alienated from his polity , that is Israel, and were foreigners to his testament , that is the blessing which he proclaimed . [you were] having no hope and [were] without the only [true] God in this world.
13. But now, in Christ Jesus, you who formerly were afar off, have become near by the blood of the Christ.
14. For he himself is our peace: the one who has made us both one, and has he destroyed the partition wall of separation.
15. Even that enmity by his flesh; the law, the commandments with the ordinances , repealing them so that these two would be made in himself, into one new man, making peace.
16. And thereby reconcile fully the one with the other in one body so that God through the cross destroyed the enmity between them.
17. And came bringing good news of peace to you that are afar and also those that are near.
18. That through him only, we have the only access to approach to his Spirit and to his Father.
19.Therefore, as a consequence , you are no more foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens [of the chosen nation and people] together with the ones made holy , of the household of God.
20. Who are building upon the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, which also is the cornerstone: Jesus Christ.
21. By whom every part of the building fitted together, grow into a temple holy to the Lord.
22. By whom also you are built together into a habitation of the one God through the Spirit.
